Direct URL to Images

Sometimes we come across terms on the internet that may confuse us. One I am familiar with from doing it over the years is unfamiliar to most so I made this little tutorial to assist you on how to obtain a direct link (URL) to an image you host on Flickr. The same idea applies to other image hosting sites as well, with the exception of sites similar to tinyimg which provides a link for you.

1. Log-in to flickr and go to your photostream and view the photo you want to obtain the direct URL for. This URL will end in a photo format such as .JPG, .PNG, .GIF, etc.

2. Click on the down arrow all the way over to the right and select "View all sizes".

3. We all love quality with our ad images for Second Life, so make sure you select "Original".

Now I went ahead and used the 3 most used browsers. Google Chrome, Mozilla Firefox and Internet Explorer.

Google Chrome: Right-click on the picture and select "Copy image URL" and that's it! Just paste the URL to wherever you are needing it!

Mozilla Firefox: Right-click on the picture and select "Copy Image Location"  and that's it! Just paste the URL to wherever you are needing it!

Internet Explorer: This browser has two steps to obtain the URL. First, right-click on the image and select "Properties" and then highlight the URL ending in the correct extension such as .JPG, .PNG, .GIF, etc and copy it. Once you click on copy then you can paste the URL to wherever you are needing it!

I hope this helped you in some way!
